Refund & Returns Policy – Australian Racing Products
Australian Racing Products (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to ensuring our customers are satisfied with their purchases. This Refund & Returns Policy outlines the conditions under which we accept returns, process refunds, or offer exchanges. This Policy is to be read in conjunction with any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Australian Consumer Law
Under the ACL, you are entitled to a replacement or refund if an item has a major failure or is not of acceptable quality. You may also be entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in this Policy intends to exclude or restrict your rights under the ACL.
2. Change of Mind Returns
- Safety Equipment
- We do not accept returns for change of mind on safety equipment (including but not limited to helmets, harnesses, fire suits, gloves, or other protective gear).
- This includes any sizing issues once the item has been used or removed from its protective packaging and/or protective seal.
- “You Mount, You Own”
- For all other products (e.g. performance parts, racing accessories, etc.), once items are installed or fitted (“mounted”), we do not accept returns for change of mind.
- If you are unsure about compatibility or fit, please check with us before installation or use.
- Special Orders
- All special orders are non-refundable
3. Eligibility for Returns & Refunds
In addition to your rights under the ACL, we will accept returns or provide refunds in the following circumstances:
- Damaged or Faulty on Arrival
If an item is damaged in transit or arrives in a non-functioning condition, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery to arrange a return, exchange, or refund. - Incorrect Item Received
If you receive an item that differs from what was ordered, please notify us within 7 days of delivery so we can arrange a return, exchange, or refund. - Major Fault
If an item exhibits a major fault or defect, you are entitled to a replacement or refund in accordance with the ACL.
4. Return Process

- Email or call our customer support team within the relevant timeframe. Please include your order number, a detailed description of the issue, and photos (if applicable).
- Approval & Instructions
- If your return is approved, we will provide you with instructions on how to return the item.
- We recommend using a traceable postage method for returning items.
- Condition of Returned Items
- Items must be returned in their original packaging (where possible), with all accessories and documentation.
- Returned items should be unused (unless returning due to a fault) and in re-saleable condition.
5. Refunds & Processing
- Refund Method
Once a returned item is inspected and the return is approved, we will process a refund back to your original payment method or provide a store credit, where applicable. - Processing Time
Please allow up to 10 business days after we receive your return for the refund to be processed. - Shipping Costs
Unless the item was damaged, faulty, or incorrectly sent, you may be responsible for any return shipping charges. Shipping fees already paid are generally non-refundable.
